Caesar's, of salad fame, closed in TJ -- Union-Tribune Newsblog

Caesar's, the Tijuana restaurant that popularized the Caesar salad, has closed.

Employees at Caesar's restaurant told The Associated Press on Friday that the business shut down Monday. The restaurant has ties to the Tijuana spot where the dish is believed to have been invented in the early 1920s, but had moved to a new location long ago.

Not surprising that tourism is down in Tijuana, what with all the druglord killings there of late.
