Default Grump in bad shape as he loses summary judgment in New York civil fraud trial

The essence of the New York civil fraud case against Grump's organizations is that he/they grossly exaggerated the value of its assets when making loan applications, and then grossly undervalued the same assets when it came to tax time.

Via summary judgment, much of the case against him has now been decided

Judge rules Donald Trump defrauded banks, insurers while building real estate empire

and the rest will be decided at trial, which is currently set to begin October 2, 2023. Grump stands to lose in the neighborhood of $250M in fines and penalties, and the revocation of many of business entity licenses.

And this is all in addiction to all the criminal cases still pending against him.

President Trump indicted and the domino effect of further indictments

Grump is in a bad way.

Grump goes down hard and skids on his butt.

Judge orders Trump to pay nearly $355 million in civil fraud trial

$355M plus 3 years barred from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or other legal entity in the state.

Of course he will appeal, but fat chance of doing much more than maybe lowering the amount of the judgment.
