    Default Blackjack card counting

Done it. Always been successful at it. But, it's impossible to do without being detected and during a two year period I was effectively banned from one of the major chains in Vegas. The ban was lifted, but by that time I wasn't as interested in blackjack as I was winning even more at Baccarat, a game from which the casino never bans anyone.

There is a lot of nonsense written by low end shysters who purport to be successful card counters, about deliberately misplaying or underplaying your game. I never played like that. It's hard enough to win such that if I ever saw an advantage I always went all the way - all the way to table limit - with it, and took all I could. I certainly never "took it easy" on the casinos when I had an advantage going.

If you ease off when you should be pouring it on, you'll probably find that whatever advantage you have is eaten up by the times when the advantage is not here, or worse - when the advantage is there but variance luck whatever you want to call it works against you.

But in the end, blackjack is not a game where you may win indefinitely. Eventually the casino will turn off the spigot if you take enough from them at what they view as a game of skill.

The UNKewlJ is a complete idiot for claiming that he deliberately underplays his bet or misplays his hands at time, and doesn't press as much as he should at times, to try to avoid detection.

It's hard enough to win at Blackjack without giving up your advantage at times.

The UNKewl one's whole "theory" runs contrary to what any professional will tell you - and that is to just PLAY YOUR GAME and try to get as much as you can when you can. There will be enough times when variance works against you such that you don't even win when you think you're supposed to, that if you give up potential winnings when you do have an advantage, you'll never end up ahead.

Additionally, this nervous poodle - the UNKewl one - doesn't even comprehend that casinos care about card counters, win or lose. If a player is varying his bet sufficiently to the count, he is subject to back off or banning.

Actually, if you read his UNKewl "stories" he's talking about booking an average of $25. to $50. in a winning session. How laughable is THAT? But, win or lose, vary the bet sufficiently in Blackjack, and eventually there may be consequences is what the UNKewl one doesn't seem to grasp.

Another untested made up theory by the UNKewl one - that pit bosses are looking not at the increased bet to the count, but the reversion to the minimum bet at the shuffle. What recreational non-counting player (who isn't chasing at the moment) DOESN'T revert to the minimum bet at each shuffle?

Youll get the best blackjack rules - lowest house edge and best penetration - often at the higher minimum blackjack tables in high limit, or, sometimes - even better penetration at private reserved tables.
