Default Do not let strange women off the street into your hotel room

Well to do trio checks into the Virgin (formerly Hard Rock) Vegas. Two go golfing, one ends up in the parking lot of some dive motel next door and meets a black girl, apparently beds down with her in said motel room (seemed to at least have the presence of mind to not bring her up to his Virgin hotel room), then gives her his room key to go retrieve his wallet and $2000. She returns with his wallet, claims it was empty.

Later, she and a couple of friends empty his room of all valuables including an Audemars, Rolex and Hublot, Louis Vuitton goods and $40,000. in cash. All three are located and arrested, with one wearing one of the watches. The valuables are recovered - not the cash.

Taking a look at the girl to whom the guy gave his room key - he must have been quite hard up.

And another Rolex theft, sounds like a stainless steel Cosmograph based on the $35,000. valuation) from a man at the Cosmopolitan Vegas who let two prostitutes spend the night in his room.

Woman accused of stealing $35K Rolex watch from Las Vegas Strip tourist | Las Vegas Review-Journal

The prostitute in question, from Los Angeles, had already been convicted in May in Vegas on two petty theft cases (probation / suspended sentence) and had been arrested for two other watch + cash theft cases earlier in the year that had not yet been resolved.

For this new case, that's a residential burglary! which is pretty serious, at least in California. A hotel room is considered a residence for purposes of theft laws.

In any case, she doesn't look like anyone MDawg would allow up in his room, for any reason!
