Winter Spring 2021 Vegas Trip

Walked by the tables - wasn't even playing that day. Someone I knew asked my opinion - BANK! I said (based on what I saw, not what I knew - again, I wasn't playing). The player trusted my opinion and slapped 5K on the hand, boom! 6 over 5 Bank win. High fives back and forth and hand clasping ensued, of course.

I mentioned this to my wife, and she joked that the player should have tipped me. Actually, I wouldn't have asked for anything for myself - but on behalf of the dealer. Dealer should be tipped on all big payouts.

Howsabout dumping a quarter mill of the Vegas winnings into a ____ sports car? Already have enough cars but this would be for the wife. I just get a charge out of the idea of driving around in a car paid for by the casinos.

Plus we need to start another set of vehicles for the third home.

What I also get a charge out of is, that we're still sitting in that same huge suite where I met the Wizard of Vegas, and how long ago was that, and still winning too.

Things have changed though. For one, I now have my own private reserved tables all around town, and much higher credit lines. And there was at least some movement to different casinos in the interim since that Wizard verified session.

Day 69 play

Was down as much as about -10k this session but I was playing harder and taking more chances this session as I�m up so much. Took just a few shoes to end at about 6K up.

Some player walked by the private area I was playing in and later asked if could play with me. Recognized me from prior play at a public table. I said, No, I play alone now. I don�t need hangers on there are enough losers across the internet seemingly desperate to latch on to me.

Day 70 play

Won about 7K pretty easily, never was down, just accurately bet where I should have bet and won. Wasn't betting much, probably average around six hundred a hand, but it did the job.

After I was done and left the private salon area, I noticed that a player with whom I had played some time ago (the one who declared that was "stupid" because kept betting against me - and losing) was playing in the regular salon. I stopped by to advise on some hands, and "guessed" every single one right though this player continued with his "stupidity," disregarded my advice and kept losing. Explained that had lost a ton in the day or two prior and couldn't afford to bet big any longer for fear of losing entire bankroll - but then that wasn't really the point, this player was betting wrong, not just too small.

Finally I decided to show the player the way with more than mere words, sat down and won the next 6 out of 6 hands, although again, he failed to follow me. I bet very little, just 500 per a hand, but that added another 3K to my day's tally.

On the way back through that area after picking up some take out food I noticed that the player was gone which, knowing the way that player played, meant it had not gone well - that one was definitely not one to get up and leave while ahead.

Day 71 play

The Banks were running, the Players were running, it was just a matter of HOW MUCH I was going to win, which, with a paltry thousand or so average bet, ended up being a clean 20K (not including about a grand, maybe more, tipped out to the dealers). EVERYONE LOVES MDAWG!

Day 72 play

Actually two sessions separated by a break. Session A, won 2K, Session B 2K. Left the shoe intact to return (my reserved table, I may return when I wish no one plays my shoe except I).

Was behind up to about -5K a couple of times but always came back strong. One pit boss occasionally asked, How do you know when to place the big bets because you always win them?

Anyone on this flight returning to a three month sojourn in VEGAS? Ehh, I don�t think so.


TSA is interesting. Two bottles of water on way to Vegas in carry on - only one removed. Flight to California - toothpaste left alone. Returning to Vegas, toothpaste removed.

I haven�t attended the home Vegas Knights v Canadiens games because I figured they were in the bag. Apparently - not.
