MDawg's friend had a good job and a fiancee a few years ago. Lost both, pulled all his savings, started gambling compulsively and then this guy had, still, a stack like this, about a year ago, and he was practically living at the casino in their largest suites, close to continuously for two years:

The other night his girlfriend called me seeking my legal advice. She had been 86'ed from a Strip casino the week before, and they had fled in his car, an older German sports car, that since that 86'ing incident had had three of its windows blown out. I didn't ask why.

They had returned to the casino, parked in the lot, and security had noticed them. They tend to notice things like beat up cars with three shattered windows. They ran the plates and it came back to the vehicle they had followed them out to the week prior when she had been trespassed. Security asked them to get out, he tried to get away and hit a parked car (no real damage done, struck the other car's tire only), in the commotion she walked away pretending to be someone else and called me.

He ended up detained, 86'ed and cited by LVMP with a criminal mischief ticket, which flew out the (missing) windows of the car on their way home. Now he'll probably miss his court date and end up with a warrant. A year ago, still high rolling with a half million in chips, today unable to pay to repair the windows on his car, and being 86'ed from not even a very nice casino on the Strip. Sic transit gloria mundi.
