As long as I walk sufficiently ahead for the amount of time I have spent in town, I'm satisfied. Why shouldn't the dealers make money when I make money?

Plus as I have mentioned time and again, if I'm trying to walk ahead, say, five grand, if I tip five hundred or so along the way via dealer bets alongside mine, it might delay my getting to five grand by some minutes, but it's not like I'll end up walking with 5500 versus 5000 if I do not place any dealer bets. When I reach my goal, I just leave.

Anyone who comes on here to justify tipping little or nothing, such as for example the microscopic amounts some players talks about tipping is just a tight a** as far as I am concerned. I cringe when I read about a player's tossing the dealer five dollars at the end of the session. Then again, yes, I understand, that player might be doing it for a living while I am not, but still, that's just cheesy giving the dealer only five dollars. That's what I tip per non-alcoholic beverage to the cocktail waitress, which is the same as many others tip too I am sure.

I see some of the biggest Asian Baccarat players tip almost nothing, and yet they almost always lose in the end, while I tip a lot and win consistently.

It's also de rigueur to tip the shooter who has won you some big money. I haven't played craps in years, but my memories of big wins include the look on the shooter's face lighting up as I hand him a black chip or two, especially if the person was a small player. Sometimes money comes and goes but that sort of feeling lingers. That's actually the true definition of karma - not that if you do something good that something good will necessarily come back to you directly, but that if you do good things for people they might be inspired to pass along that positive energy, and then in the scheme of things, it might come back to you eventually.

Now in this situation, I can see how the shooter didn't want to tip much...as she'd been stealing his chips all night.

I actually met that guy in Vegas, and he dresses just like that in real life, with those glasses. He used to be the manager of the Bernini store at the Caesar's Forums shops. Now lives in Australia, last I heard from him.

I've thought about that scenario a lot, that "Ace" and the floor crew just stood by and watched while she stole chips and then later threw them all over the place.

I realize it was a movie, but it was supposed to be based on real life. Once some hustler stole a high denomination chip right off my table and got away with it - the casino later reimbursed me.
