Default Are tips included in the win at table games?

Actually, yes. Some casinos really don't like players who tip too much, because any money locked into the dealer toke box is out of reach of the casino. For example at the Hard Rock Vegas, in the days that Peter Morton owned it, players like Matt Damon used to tip out thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars to the dealers once they were up, and then, if they ended up losing whatever chips they had in front of them, still, whatever they tipped out the casino could never get its hands on.

So, at least back when I used to play there during the Peter Morton days, the casino implemented a limit of 100 side bet for dealers on any table game (and maximum 25 side bet for the dealers on Baccarat tie), to try to stem the tide of chips headed for the dealers and locked away from the greedy claws of the casino.

As far as whether money won via tips is counted into the final win: there are two ways that a player might tip. One is to simply hand the chips to the dealer. At an extreme level, if a player won ten thousand and dumped it all into the toke box, still he would be recorded with a ten thousand dollar win - whatever is missing from the house's tray must be accounted for.

And for a player like me who places his bets for the dealer on the side, still, whatever chips come my way must be accounted for.

It is, in other words, simplistic to say that only what a table game player walks away with at the end of the session is recorded as his win. Whatever is missing from the tray is accounted for. This is why, since I am what they call a "George" a good tipper, that my wins are usually recorded higher than what I actually walked with. Think about it - I win ten grand, and I decided to hand a thousand to the cocktail waitress. You're telling me that thousand which was on my side, and missing from the tray, isn't accounted for? It just depends on how good the pit boss is - some will be lazy and just go by what you walk with in terms of chips, but many will count the tray to get a more accurate determination of what chips went the way of the player.

And also, it really depends on how much we are talking about in terms of tips - twenty five dollars? probably not accounted for. Two thousand? (I've tipped out more than two thousand in one session by way of dealer side bets that they win alongside mine - far more.) When we are talking about thousands, you may bet that the chips missing from the tray will be included in the player win.
