Each "spin" of the reels is an independent event which has no bearing on the next, or prior.

Another ridiculous myth, is that the slot machines may be somehow remotely controlled to pay off - or not, based on who is playing the machine. In other words, pull your player card out of the machine, and you might win more than with it in.

Over all - avoid slots like the plague. Among the worst odds in the house. But if you do play, don't get caught up in the nonsense. It's all random, and nothing more.
