Default Baccarat exotic side bets - avoid

As far as the tie bet, that is considered here
    The Baccarat Tie bet
and there may be instances where betting the tie is warranted.

However, other exotic bets, such as what is called the "Tiger" at the Cosmopolitan Vegas or "Lucky 6" at Venetian Vegas
Pays 12:1 if Bank wins with a 6, two cards, 20:1 if Bank wins with a 6, three cards,
which is on "commissionless" Baccarat (no commission paid on Banker wins, but Banker wager is paid only 50% if Banker wins on 6),
Commissionless Baccarat - a good deal?
are exotic bets that are impossible to predict, with a high house advantage, and should be avoided.

Similarly, betting on "pairs" (that Bank or Player will achieve, regardless of win or loss, a pair of matching cards, two queens, two twos, two aces, etc.) is also a loser bet.

Some players claim that these exotics "come in streaks," that is, that once pairs or banker 6 wins start coming, they repeat, but this is nonsense. I have not observed any such.

Other players claim that these are "hedges" against being paid half for a banker 6 win, or hedges against straight losing the hand ("at least you still get paid something for a "pair" even if you lose), but mathematically speaking as to the odds, this is simply not true, and given that there is no way to predict when any of these exotics will fall, these bets should be avoided entirely.
