The "busted inn" (if you may call a 68 floor monstrosity, an inn) former site of the Fountainebleau (which is in turn on the site of the busted El Rancho Hotel), is now online for opening in late 2020 or 2021, complete with a 100,000 square foot casino. The Drew, like the Cosmopolitan, will be associated with the Marriott as far as hotel rewards programs.
As well, on the site of the former Stardust will be in 2021, the $4.3 billion (eclipsing even the $3.9 billion cost of the Cosmopolitan) 59 story Resorts World, with a planned 110,000 square foot Asian themed casino.
Both of these properties will be independents, not connected in terms of ownership with any existing Vegas casinos, and give the existing corporate casinos a run for their money.
Now if only coronavirus would step aside, and give the world a chance to breath....
