It's col' up there, even in the summer, much more so in winter, so dress warmly, but if you're looking for a bit of nature away from the hustle of the Strip, take a drive west, and explore! You'll be reminded of something like the reaches of San Jacinto Peak in Palm Desert, California, but without the need to take a tram to get there.
